24 Jun SPIRITUAL L.A.’s BEST MEDITATION GARDENS
Ahhh … a moment of silence, a moment to center inside. L.A. hosts countless garden oases (some say living in L.A. means living in a garden itself), but these treasures were designed specifically for meditation:
A quiet oasis in the midst of Hollywood.

If you haven’t been yet, go! One of LA’s hidden gems.
17190 Sunset Blvd, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272
Meditation Garden, Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels
A quiet circular pool for meditation hidden behind the main square.
555 W Temple St, Los Angeles, CA 90012
Mount Washington SRF
Beautiful views overlooking downtown, the Temple of Leaves, the Wishing Well
3880 San Rafael Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90065
Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens
A garden to enjoy, a labyrinth to walk. It’s free, but reservations required.
3500 W Adams Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90018
(323) 737-4055
Serra Retreat Center Gardens
Stunning views of the Pacific and the hillside gardens, relax amongst the statues of the Stations of the Cross. Open weekdays.
3402 Serra Road, Malibu, CA 90265
Wayfarers Chapel
While not technically in L.A., it’s worth the drive for a meditative retreat in the garden overlooking the Pacific ocean.
5755 Palos Verdes Dr S, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275
Zen Garden at the Huntington
The entire grounds of the Huntington are potential meditative spots, but the Zen Garden was specifically designed to induce a meditative state. Admission is steep so plan to make a day of it and take in some of the exquisite art while you’re there.
