TOUR: Day Trip Santa Barbara

On your way up the 101, while passing through Thousand Oaks stop and check out the

Chumash Cultural Center

On the site of a former Chumash village named Sap’wi. Wonderful museum, a replica of a Chumash village, and pictographs.

3290 Lang Ranch Pkwy, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362

Old Mission Santa Barbara

We’d heard that the Mission is a strong spiritual vortex and decided to check it out. It seemed unlikely considering the usual violence and genocide perpetrated by the Catholic friars against the Native people. However, when onsite we were bowled over by the powerful spiritual energy, especially radiating from the altar. Definitely worth the trip. We also brought home holy water captured into tiny bottles purchased in the gift shop.

2201 Laguna St, Santa Barbara, CA 93105

Shalawa Meadow

Ancient Chumash burial site. Strong shakti. Public parking at the end of the street. Walk through the flowering lane, turn right at the beach, and walk until you see the Meadow on your right.

Eucalyptus Lane, Santa Barbara 93108

 The Western Gate

If you dare.

Jalama Beach County Park
