Of course, all land was sacred to the indigenous people. These places in particular were revered, often because they were burial sites, places of power, or portals to other dimensions.

We took their land; we can at least give them a park. Note several sculptures that are modern interpretations of the Tongva dwellings seen at Kuruvugna or in one of the museums.

Ancient Chumash burial site. Strong shakti. Public parking at the end of the street. Walk through the flowering lane, turn right at the beach, and walk until you see the Meadow on your right. ( see page xxx)
